While the Ford GT40s were dominating sports car racing in the mid 1960s, Ford France entered it's own GT 40s in many races. Sporting a red-white and blue paint scheme, Guy Ligier and Jo Schlesser were the go-to drivers for the Ford France entries. However, driving the number 126 they crashed out of the 1967 Targa Florio race while their team mates Henri Greder adn Jean-Michel Giorgi finished 5th in the number 130.
