1966 was the year of Ken Miles and the GT40 in sports car racing. Miles and team mate Lloyd Ruby won a convincing 8 lap victory in the 24 hours of Daytona, followed by Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant in second place.

Designed for the Fujimi GT40 MK II kits - available in other scales. Fujimi did this car as a kit but it can be hard to find. This car has some minor differences from the standard Mark II, such as no rear hood scoops, a different front hood splitter as well as an added hump on the right front fender. Classic Racing Resins has a conversion kit for the standard Fujimi MK II kits to accurately do this car - and it is sold with a Revell/Fujimi plastic kit. The #98 1/24 scale decals come with a masking template in case you wish to paint the red the correct dayglo red color.
