Lotus Chassis 72/3 was the longest in-service Lotus 72 produced. It debuted in 1970 in the hands of John Miles and was ran by Dave Charlton in three Grands Prix in 1972. Although it never won a Grand Prix, it did win 22 of 33 races it intered in the South African Single Seater Championships in the hands of Dave Charlton Racing. It's last race was at Donnybrook in Salisbury Rhodesia, Oct 26, 1975.
