For the 1973 season, 1972 Indy winner Mark Donohue switched from McLaren to Eagle. Mark managed to qualify on the front row, but the Eagle proved troublesome for the Penske team and despite running up front early, it was not really competitive and dropped out with a blown engine after 90 laps.
