only check Indycals

For 1980 Dan Gurney developed a radical new car to campaign in Indy car racing - called BLAT (Boundary Layer Adhesion Technology) - it was a unique ground effects car designed to develop high downforce from the air under the car (the boundary layer). Designed to work with a stock block engine, the car was sponsored by Teddy Yip's Theodore Racing out of Hong Kong. Driven by Mike Mosely the car qualified 26th but only managed to complete five laps in the race and finished 32nd. The BLAT car would be back in 1981, wiht better funding and Mosely would put it on the front row!
