1964 was the last gasp of the roadster at Indianapolis and it would be the last start for 1963 winner Parnelli Jones in a front engined car. Jones qualified the car fourth and once the race resumed after the Sachs/MacDonald crash, Jones battled with AJ Foyt behind leaders Jim Clark and Bobby Marshman. By lap 50 Jones was leading but his day ended five laps later when his car caught fire in the pits, necessitating Jones leaping from his still-moving, flaming car.

1/25 Scale. Designed around the AMT/MPC Watson kit. This sheet accurately replicates the “scalloped” effect on the gold numbers that was so common in the 50’s and 60’s. 1/25 builders we recommend using this with the conversion kit by Classc Racing Resins.
