1986 was a season of highs and lows for the Williams team. Drivers Nigel Mansell and Nelson Piquet combined for 9 wins and won the constructors championship handily over McLaren. But tragedy struck when team owner Frank Williams was paralyzed in a road accident at the start of the season. Patrick Head took over until Williams return later in the season. The Championship would go down to the last race with Mansell leading over Alain Prost and team mate Piquet. Mansel only had to finish third to clinch his first world championship. And third was exactly where he was running with only 19 laps left in the race when his right rear tire exploded ending his day and his championship hopes, as rival Alain Prost won the race and garnered enough points to win the championship.

Designed for the Tamiya 1/20 kit. Improved white opacity over the kit decals. Please note, since this sheet was designed for a very precise fit to the 1/20 Tamiya kit, we cannot guarantee that the solid blue areas a perfect fit on smaller models - the smaller scales are scaled mathematically and if the car they go on is not in the exact same proporprtions as the Tamiya kit, there may be fit issues.
